SDP Rally

Yuhua
SINGAPORE Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for Yuhua single-seat ward, Ms Teo Soh Lung, kicked off its first rally on Thursday night by attacking the People's Action Party (PAP) over ministerial salaries.
Speaking to a crowd at an open field near Commonwealth MRT station, Ms Teo, 62, said the ministers were paid millions while those on public assistance only got a few hundred dollars.
Ms Teo, a retired lawyer, is facing off first-term Senior Minister of State for Education and National Development Grace Fu, 47.
The SDP candidate for Holland-Bukit Timah, Dr John Tan, 49, an academic, also slammed the government for bringing in too many foreign workers at the expense of locals.
