iPad 2 Singapore

iPad 2
The long-awaited iPad 2 is finally available in more countries in Asia. Japan will receive the iPad 2 today while another 11 countries will receive it tomorrow, 29 April.
The countries include Hong Kong, India, Israel, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Turkey and UAE. Notice India? Yup, Apple is launching the iPad 2 in the country even though it had recently just launched the first generation iPad 3 months ago.
Apple faced pressure from competitors and also fans who expressed their disappointmentas the iPad 1 was launched around the time when iPad 2was made available in the U.S. The early iPad 2 launch in India is a move believed to keep Apple fans happy and also to erase the impression that the company is treating India as a ‘dumping ground’.
However, it is disappointing for first movers in India who had purchased the first generation iPad as soon as the device was available in the country. “WTH” would fill up their mind (I seriously can imagine that).
On a contrast, Apple fans in India who hanged on to the wait would be delighted over the news. Apple didn’t mention any solution or upgrade plan to please users who recently just purchased the iPad 1. I doubt there would be any plan for that though.
The iPad 2 will be available at Apple retail stores at 9 a.m. local time and online through the Apple Store beginning at 1 a.m.
And one last thing: It was also announced that the iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available inChina on May 6. No more paper iPad 2 for now.
