Nike Hoop Structure "Hot Red"
For the past couple of years, Nike has been on the hybrid kick mashing up two models of sneakers to create something new. Designed by Nike Sportswear’s Urban Design Director, Marc Dolce, the Nike Air Hoop Structure takes a different route that has led to a successful product. The Hoop Structure uses the foundation of the Nike Air Structure Triax ‘91 and transforms the shoe into a basketball shoe through design and technological upgrades.
The end result is a shoe that fits right in with the rest of the Nike Basketball lineup from 1990-91 with features such as a herringbone traction, forefoot clear sole, visable heel Air, and an aggressively shaped midsole. On the upper the shoe sports a look similar to the Structure Triax with a heel cup and molded collar.
This “Hot Red” colorway of the Nike Air Hoop Structure is set to release this fall. We know about the Black/Red Air Jordan 6 returning next year, will these make up for the White/Infrareds not coming back?
