Hyundai Motors India Ltd. (HMIL) on Wednesday launched the new-generation Verna sedan as the Korean auto major looks to increase its share of the growing C+ segment.
The price of the all-new Verna will start at Rs 6.99 lakhs for the base petrol version, and go all the way up to Rs 10.74 lakh for the 1.6 diesel automatic.
The prices for the new Verna are introductory in nature and may be revised later on.
Hyundai India hopes to sell 45,000 units of the Verna in the first 12 months.
The new Verna will be available in two petrol and two diesel versions. It will be available in a range of six colours with 8 trim options.
The new Hyundai Verna will compete with Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Fiat Linea, Maruti Suzuki Sx4 and the Ford Fiesta.
